Very good and large variety of unique pizza. Quick by the slice or take home a full pie. The garlic rolls are delicious. Unique local atmosphere too. Not the recent corporate stereotype.

Great pizza starts with the dough, and the dough at Leo's by the Slice is the alright-est in town. When it comes to sauce and toppings, they have flavor locked down. Spinach and tomato (Spin Tom) and the portobello with it's mounds of ricotta are excellent. Don't sleep on the coffee. They brew a mean cup.

Good slices, the dailies are kind of overpriced and the cheese slices are okay for their size. The taste is still good and the meals seem worth the price. Just the individual daily special slices alone seem to be too expensive for their average taste.

Oh my gosh! Best pizza in Gainesville! They have a vegan option too! The pasta is yum as well. Great sauce. And! The salads are wow wow wow!

Some of the best pizza ever. By the slice with lots of unique combinations and a glorious deep dish with an amazing crunch. Service is good and the prices are very resonable. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Gainesville and a reason I keep bringing my family to this town for staycations.#TRAVELFORMORTALS

Awesome pizza & there are by the slice options plus a good salad bar and even whole wheat crust available. Very nice sit down & be waited on atmosphere. Reasonable prices! Love it here :)

Great small pizza place in the heart of Gainesville. All kinds of pizza for all kinds of people, with kind staff and a cozy atmosphere. They also serve calzones.

I love this place. They have some unique flavors and super soft rolls.

We were excited about trying the other Leonardo's in Gainesville, as we frequent the Millhopper location as a norm. Tonight very busy, which is good. The atmosphere was very student, which is also lively. The staff was professional. The garlic knots, a family favorite, were hard and served in paper boats with sauce on the side. This was disappointing as the sauce softens the knots. Our pizza looked scrumptious, but there was no sauce on it. This was also disappointing as were used to ample sauce. I'd have to check my prior receipts, but seems like we have paid less for more in other trips. We will continue to frequent Millhopper, but probably let the students and surrounding businesses patron here.

Leonardos is amazing! Ive been eating here since childhood and the quality of food has never changed. The pizza and salds are out of this world! Great service and atmosphere🌼🌻🌼🌻

As usual Leonard's makes up 9 large pizzas and open at 11oclock, your can take your time to see what you would like by the slice or ask them for what you would like a "custom" pizza, medium or large. You can't go wrong, stop by, it's a college town and it's a fun atmosphere GO GATORS UF where I went to Graduated.

Love the pizza!! Heavenly. We travel 1.5 hours each way, 6 times annually, to watch a play at The Hipp, and eat Leo's Pizza. Both bring back lots of fun college memories. Wish to God they weren't planning to close next year. However, I will never understand why they haven't renovated and keep the place so dirty.

The pizza slices are good, but on my last visit we got yelled at for bringing outside food which were packed as leftovers from another restaurant. Even if we were going to eat the other food, I don't see why the man had a big problem considering this is just a chill pizza place.

Came into town for a doctors visit. Decided to stop here because I'd rather come to a non chain or a local chain restuarant than a national chain. Anyways. Not bad on price. Three of us ate for $24. Pizza is ny style and its awsome. Will come agian when ever im in town agian.

Passed by this place with my parents who used to eat here 40 years ago. It Hasn’t changed much. The pizza is as good as ever. We ate the deep dish thick pizza today. Sausage and the Pepperoni. The crust makes this awesome. Crunchy on the bottom. Fluffy through the middle and soft and juicy on top. And they are generous with the toppings as well. The staff are friendly. The menu is plentiful. Bathrooms out back could use some love but otherwise this place is great. I know where I’ll be having my slice next time I pass through

Leo's never fails to provide a great slice or whole pizza. The staff is always friendly and supporting local businesses makes the experience even better. Their daily specials are always delicious but the classics never fail either.

Overpriced terrible food with horrible customer service. Pizza was soggy and bland, garlic knots were either burned or rock hard. The staff was rude and impatient. Judging from the quality of the food I think it had been sitting there for a long time. Given the prices and the very long time it took to get my food (wasn’t busy and they were only warming up a pre-made slice) I have no intention of ever going back. Especially when there are much better places in town to get pizza

Leonardo's is probably the best place to go for mid day slice. Their specials are great and their close to campus.

Best pizza in Gainesville. after all of these years, 24y for me,still awesome. The big leo is still a thing, but the roll the dice slice was nots.something special for sure.thanks to everyone for supporting the neighborhood pizza place.

Leonardo's never disappoints. I've been coming here for over 15 years and it's still some of the best pizza I've had. I love their salads and garlic knots as well. I can never go wrong with getting a slice and a side salad. They do have vegan options which are equally as good as their non vegan counterparts. The staff is nice, atmosphere good, restaurant is clean. I will keep coming here even though I no longer live in Gainesville. It's that good!EDIT: I still love the food but have removed a star. I've been trying to contact this restaurant for a week to ask some basic questions before driving over an hour to get there and cannot get through via phone or on social media. I know with the current pandemic rules and menus with many restaurants are changing rapidly. I'm trying to do my part by finding out things before heading over. I just wish there was better communication from this location.

I like the deep dish cheese pizza. When I went the place was packed but the service was very fast. Will definitely go again!!!

This is one of my favorite pizza 🍕 places in Gainesville. I love it. They have a good vegetarian & vegan selection, as well. & it’s very affordable. U can get a whole pizza or just a big slice. & they have delicious garlic knots & salads. & this store has a coffee shop that makes lattes etc in it. I love it. They have a nice sitting area outside in the back. I like the art & the atmosphere. Great place to eat whether your a college kid or not. This place is pretty casual. So need to dress up or anything. I would definitely recommend. If u want a fancier stay, u can check out the other Leonardo’s location on the northwest side of town. I like that one better, but the service is better there. & they specialize more in the deep dish Chicago style pizza. They also both have pitchers of beer.

Always the best, for the past 44 years, and still going strong. Only place I go for pizza and to feel the true spirit of Gainesville.

Everything about this place is great...except the wait time you have to deal with just to put your order in. I've been coming here for years and the last 6 times I've been here, I have had to wait on average 20-23 minutes just to put my order in because somewhere along the line the Owner decided that lunch rush doesn't matter so lets just have one cashier doing ALL the work. It doesn't even have to be busy for this long wait time, I'm usually 5th or 6th in line and it takes that long. If they decide to finally fix this dumb problem I'll raise it to 5 stars but until then, highly suggest avoiding during rush hours.

I love the unique selection of pizzas! Especially the vegan and vegetarian options. Staff was great and the pizza was HOT and delicious.

This grungy pizza joint is the perfect place for a cheap slice, and the rolls - omg! We love stopping here when we are in town. Thin crispy crust, doughy rolls with garlic sauce and marinara, and the salads are nice too. Leonardo's is a very causal and budget friendly guilty pleasure. Skip Piesanos across the street!

This place is great. It's been around for years providing a unique style of pizza and Italian foods. If you want a good pizza or stuffed shells. Stop by and give them a try. You won't be sorry. If the kids want pizza and you don't want left overs. Stop by and get a slice. They are huge. It's located near the corner of 13th St. and University ave. College students love this place. Check it out.

Disgusting, overpriced pizza and poor customer service. I have been coming to Leonardo's for more than 4 years and have seen the quality and service decline tremendously. Very dissapointed in what this Gainesville icon has become.

At some point I know I will give them another shot... Everything my wife and I ordered was actually burnt. The garlic knots were old and flavorless. The oil you get to dip them in was good. The price was a lot high for what we got. We went there around 9 or so... but if you are going to be open, serve the same "quality" of food, not the same food you would have served at 7.

My favorite pizza of all time. I try and make the pilgrimage once a year to get some pizza. Perfect levels of cheesiness and crust. It's that good. Their garlic knots are pretty great, and you can sauce/oil 'em up as you wish since they come naked. I just go with a straight slice of cheese (or two) and I'm beyond satisfied. Definitely check this place out, it's a cool spot with some tasty pizza, and I'm really looking forward to the next time I can visit.

This is a Gainesville icon. It's been here since the 70's. The pizza is always made fresh and is very good. They also have salads although I always just get the pizza. Reasonable priced. Close to campus. I rarely give 5 stars.

This was my first visit. I had heard so much about this place during my college years. I never went there. My guests bragged about how great the pizza would be. So, I gave in and had a nice slice of pizza. The service and furnishings could be updated.

Outstanding spot for tasty Pizza. Great ambiance & decor. I had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here. The bill won't break you.

Drove from Ocala all the way here just for it to be closed but the internet advertises as open.

The place needs a little more work on decoration. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly. I'm giving four stars because they took out the cheese ravioli from the menu!
